Halloween Cupcakes - Spider Webs

Halloween parties for kids and adults are all about the sweets.  I love to make cupcakes for parties.  They are easy to make and I find the people are more likely to take a cupcake than cut a slice of cake.

For our annual pumpkin carving party I made several different kinds of cupcakes here is one:

Spiderweb cupcakes.

You need to have cupcakes ready.  Bake up your favorite cupcakes, preferably in Halloween themed papers, and let them cool.

Make or buy white or vanilla icing.

Buy black Wilton Cookie Icing that comes in a container with a small tip.

You need this to make the web

Ice the cupcake with the vanilla icing.

Use the cookie icing to make 3 concentric circles on top of the cupcake.

Use a toothpick to make the webs.  Place the toothpick point on the middle circle and pull outwards to make the web.  Clean the toothpick in between each to prevent smearing.
Here is the first one.

All done.
Now it is time to add the spider.  I use M & Ms.  Take the brown one and place it on the cupcake.
M & M on the cupcake
Use the Cookie Icing to make legs.  I make four legs but you can make 8 if you want.
Cupcake is ready to eat.
