Chili Lime Garlic Wings

With the Super Bowl coming and the playoffs in full swing, this recipe can get you through the game without guilt.  It is carb free and Paleo-friendly.  If you want a chicken wing that is spicy, sweet and packed with flavor, this recipe is for you.
Ingredients:

1 bulb garlic
1 tsp grape seed or olive oil
2 - 3 lbs chicken wings, tips removed, cut into 2 pieces
1/2 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
1/4 cup olive oil
3 TBS chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Tabasco Sauce (more if you prefer spicy)
Here's how:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Cut the top off of the head of garlic. Wrap the bulb in foil, leaving the top open. Pour on the 1 tsp grape seed or olive oil.
Top cut off, oil added, wrapping in foil
Close up the foil and place the bulb in the oven, topside up.  Roast for 45 minutes.

Remove from the oven and squeeze the garlic from the head.

Combine the garlic and remaining ingredients, except the wings.
Mixture ready to mix up
Place the wings in a zip top bag and pour over the mixture.

Let sit 4 hours, but overnight is best.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Place the wings on a baking pan or stone.

Bake 25-30 minutes until the wings are done and cooked through

Serve with celery.

  1. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
