Chicken Parmigiana Slider Burgers

Chicken Parmigiana Sliders.  This recipe has all the flavors of the famous Italian dish but it is not fried.  This recipe is easy to make.  If you cannot find slider buns this can also be made as a full size burger.  These can be made in advance and frozen.  This is my preferred method.  I think the burgers stay together on the grill better when cooked from frozen.

Ingredients:

1 lb ground chicken
1 TBS Italian seasoning
1 cup tomato sauce, your favorite brand or homemade, divided into 3 TBS and the rest
1/2 lb fresh mozzarella
7 slider buns

Here's how:

Preheat your grill.

Combine the chicken, seasoning and 3 TBS sauce in a medium sized bowl until well combined.

Divide into 7 even bunches and then form into patties.

Place on the grill and cook for 4 minutes per side.

Melt the cheese on the burgers during the last two minutes of cooking.

Remove from the grill, place on the bun and top with sauce.
